I believe that all art has some meaning behind it, it just depends on who looks at. Say your doing something just for fun and then someone comes over and looks at it and says a backstory on it, while other people come and look at it and say "what is that?". Even decoration has a meaning or purpose in the place it is placed. The walls for example was painted with an anchor or sea weed to give the effect of being under the sea. Also a picture or the couch was made to brighten up the room. In school many people just do what their told to finish their art, but even if they didn't know it, there had to be meaning behind it as of why they chose to do that animal compared to others or that medium compared to others. I believe all art has meaning, it just depends on who looks at it to determine how much meaning it has. h
The element I ended up doing was either line or value. I used line to add the perspective of the image which made the image look more at a distance. Also value was used to make the image look a little more 3D or to help make the image look more real. Also the value helped add the shadows. The medium I used was charcoal because I thought it could work to add value to the photo. Also the photo was originally black and white which charcoal is just that color. Charcoal usually adds a cool touch also. The subject I chose was perspective because it's always cool to make a landscape look 3D or like you are actually climbing the object. I thought a landscape image would be different than what I've done before but perspective usually gives some sort of guideline to follow. |
