#1: Art is human skill and imagination turned into a visual form. People appreciate the beauty and emotional power behind a piece. Art is a part of everyday life, and without it everything would be extremely boring. The graphic on a video game or the design on a cup is art. Without the images everything would be just plain white. One of the most beneficial parts of art, is there is not one meaning. Behind every piece of art, there is at least two sides. There could be the obvious meaning, but there could be a hidden message. Art is different for everyone, so there isn't one way to pin point it. |
#8: The warm ups that I learned the most from is probably the hand sketches and and the facial sketches. The hand sketches have definitely progressed from the first time that I have done them. I have learned how to make the fingers more proportional. Also, the to start the hand, start with simple shapes and develop the hand into more detail. To the right is an image of the hand that looked the best, even though there really isn't much shading. The facial sketches were definitely an improvement from what was done previously. I personally think the lips look the best because they look more realistic. I also learned how to create the shape of the object without drawing contour lines, instead shading darker in the area there. |
#3: Copying isn't always plagiarism in art. People might say looking at another piece and redrawing the same lines is copying. In reality, it is impossible to redraw the exact image unless you trace it. Also, copying isn't always copying an image, it could be copying an idea. So say someone uses cardboard as the medium and you copy how they did it. That is the way I copied my teacher because she created a fish in cardboard and used the layers of the cardboard as texture. I did the same thing, but with a tiger. Artists copy all the time of different ideas and how to create an image. Copying in art is definitely not plagiarism. |
